Position Overview
As a Security Analyst at Aunalytics, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our information systems by monitoring, detecting, investigating, analyzing, and responding to security events. You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to maintaining the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data against any potential threats.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Threat Analysis and Monitoring
- Continuously monitor security access and identify suspicious activity to prevent potential threats
- Utilize advanced analytic tools to detect deviations from baseline behaviors that may indicate a potential security incident
Security Assessments and Audits
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to evaluate the effectiveness of existing security measures
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve our security posture
Incident Response
- Act swiftly in response to security breaches or incidents, including initial analysis, containment, eradication, recovery, and post-mortem
- Coordinate with different departments to enhance the response strategies and minimize the impact of security incidents
Risk Management
- Assist in the development and enforcement of security policies and procedures to manage risks according to regulatory requirements
- Support the documentation of results and ensure compliance with risk management and regulatory mandates
Training and Development
- Develop and deliver security awareness training to staff members, helping them recognize threats and understand safe practices
- Stay updated with the latest security trends, research, and tools to continuously refine and enhance security measures
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field preferred
- Proven experience as a Security Analyst or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, network monitoring, and threat analysis techniques
- Proficiency in incident response and handling methodologies
- Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001/27002, NIST, SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR, FedRAMP)
- Relevant certifications (e.g.- CompTIA Security+, GIAC GSE or GSEC) are preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Strong interpersonal, verbal communication, and technical documentation skills
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity
