About the role:

This role plays a critical part of FIS’ overarching security mission to protect personnel, facilities, assets, and reputation by conducting on-going collection, evaluation, and reporting of relevant threat intelligence that is escalated based on the Analysts’ judgement; and/or according to guidance or consultation with Tactical Intelligence team leadership. The Analyst monitors, assesses, and communicates emerging concerns with timely, accurate, and relevant assessments of local security matters. The Analyst will produce a range of written analyses and deliver briefings at every level within the enterprise in support of the company’s security programs and operations worldwide with a focus on concerns that may impact any FIS interest.

About the team:

The FIS Corporate Security Intelligence Team is a near-24x7 real-time analytic subset of Corporate Security. The team has a geo-strategic threat intelligence focus in support of Executive Protection, Crisis Management, Business Continuity, Insider Threat, Physical Security, Event planning, Global Business Traveler Program, Corporate Travel, Mobility & Travel Enablement, Risk and Compliance, and other teams around the world. Of equal importance, the position has a tactical threat intelligence responsibility in working with enterprise-wide travelers for duty of care and physical security personnel on top priorities on a global scale.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Closely monitor current worldwide news events using a variety of mediums including international press, news aggregators, social media, intelligence sources, and fee-based service providers.
  • Monitor & track incidents for area situational awareness related to top security disciplines (i.e. Crisis Response, Emergency Preparedness, Business Continuity, Travel Security, Physical and Meetings & Events Security)
  • Conduct comprehensive all-source monitoring, collection, and analysis of threats potentially impacting company employees or assets and communicate the information in a timely, tempered, and accurate manner.
  • Dispatch awareness communications to travelers and stakeholders in developing or emergency situations.
  • Share global coverage and messaging in emergencies.
  • Contribute intelligence component to risk reviews.
  • Draft various reports as needed based on risks/threats that impact company employees and assets.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Security team and other business partners to help determine incident/threat impacts to the company and collaborate with other business units on appropriate response.
  • Gain and maintain an understanding of key area stakeholders’ top concerns and produce security assessments and incident/situational reporting based on requirements.
  • Contribute to top area priorities and requirements (This position focuses on non-cyber-related threats including but not limited to terrorist and violent extremist threats/acts, political instability, protests & strikes & demonstrations, anti-Western crime trends, natural disasters & health concerns, and other local/regional emerging threats) to establish top concerns for the organization especially for the areas of global travel.
  • Remain current on security and intelligence topics.
  • Help develop continuous improvement and industry best practices regarding threat intelligence assessment & escalation protocols. This includes leading outreach within the enterprise in an awareness campaign and identifying new means of supporting our clients.
  • Build relationships within other teams to better support the wide variety of our company’s business groups.
  • Build, maintain, and leverage relationships with key external agencies, local/federal law enforcement, intelligence/military agencies, and other public and private entities to promote information sharing and real-time data validation.
  • Identify and complete relevant training opportunities to increase knowledge of analytic processes and intelligence collection.

What you bring:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Relevant field of study a plus: international relations, political science, history, national security studies, appropriate regional studies, journalism, public relations, or business communications. Appropriate candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in a professional environment.

  • Analytic experience within the Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) community, and/or previous experience with the intelligence community, security consulting, or corporate security.
  • Technical expertise and experience in information gathering from open sources, government or vendor reporting, social media and/or public or private sector partnership networks.
  • Strong professional ethics and ability to maintain discretion, confidentiality, and trust.
  • International experience, cultural awareness and sensitivity.
  • Excellent research, written and verbal communication, and presentation skills.
  • Open-source research skills; ability to use/manipulate of social media resources for proactive intelligence collection.
  • Demonstrated research and critical thinking skills to identify, collect, synthesize, and evaluate large amounts of data and draw logical, measured, and actionable conclusions.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and sometimes extended schedule during crisis periods, to include weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to operate under stress and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under strict deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, strong organizational and multitasking skills, detail-oriented
  • Equally comfortable working independently or collaboratively on a project, often under compressed timelines and often across time zones.
  • Highly responsive and proactive, able to own tasks from start to finish.
  • Ability to manage large volumes of emails and deadlines with little supervision.
