- We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst with 5+ years of recent related experience or an
- equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. We are also looking for:
- Advanced or Expert skills in one or more of the following: Excel, Power BI, SAS, SPSS, R, SQL, Python
- Experience working with health administrative data and data warehouses.
- Manipulating and compiling large databases
- Significant experience writing programs and queries to manipulate and compile large health datasets and analyze the date accordingly.
- Master’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or related discipline
- Experience within BC Health Authorities/Sector is a plus.
- The main responsibilities of the Data Analyst are to introduce and evolve key performance metrics, to analyze usage patterns across various product modalities, and to produce compelling visuals to inform implementation strategy and roadmaps. The goal is to improve decision-making by providing data-driven evidence and visuals to support findings and across presentations, briefing notes, reports, and dashboards.
- Creates and edits visual content including maps, charts, and graphs.
- Transforms data sets, quantitative and qualitative analysis into compelling visual stories.
- Works closely with cross-functional teams to support the development of reports, charts, briefs, dashboards, and presentation materials for decision-making and communication purposes.
- Develops complex data extraction and transformation scripts, including data linkages, to prepare data for analysis. Performs analysis and prepares reports and other analytical products (e.g. dashboards, scorecards). Implements indicators for monitoring and regular reporting.
- Takes measures to protect all data and information sources to comply with protection of confidentiality and privacy policies.
